Quick "Snap" Update #2

Ok, we're back from the doctor, and I'm fairly amazed. If you had been in the room with my wife when she experienced the initial pain, I think you would be amazed, as well. Here's what we discovered.

Basically, something in her upper vertebral column has "slipped and jammed." But because of her stenosis of the spine (a degenerative condition) this cannot be repaired by a trip to the chiropractor.

The great news is that the doctor is hoping that within the next 48 hours or so following muscle relaxers and pain killers that it will "pop back" into place on it's own. (Ouch.) This injury apparently is not in the same area of difficulty from earlier this year which is actually a good thing in some ways. It was part of our biggest concerns.

I guess we really won't know for sure for a few more days, but Leona seems to be making great progress today. Much more mobile. She still can't turn her head much to the left or look down without experiencing a lot of pain, but the pain killers should help with that.

Thank you for praying! I fully expected a different result from the doctor, and I believe your prayers have made all of the difference in the world, today!

Oh, and I've decided to not say "surgery" again in this blog unless there is a scheduled date on the calendar.... :)

I'm glad to hear things will be okay. Hey, would y'all please be praying for my friend Lindsay. She has been sick on and off again in the hospital since Thanksgiving. She went back to the hosp. yesterday with a severe case of pneumonia. The docs say she will only have 6 months to live if she doesn't get better. She's 19. Thanks!!!!!! :-)
